100 Paintings, 100 People, 100 Dollars Each for 100 Days

One of our favorite artists Elizabeth "Liz" Wilson has launched a new project that we believe our L + W fans will appreciate.

For the first 100 days of the year, she will create and sell 100 paintings for 100 dollars each. Liz will keep a video diary of her progress. You can be a part of this journey, by showing your support in purchasing her art, spreading the word to others and just stopping by the website at www.liz100.com to see how its going. Each day she will add a new painting, and a new video blog. To view Liz's previous works, visit www.originalartbyliz.com

In the meantime, Liz will be showcasing her work. . .

REST IN PEACE...TEDDY PENDERGRASS

We were saddened to learn today at L + W that one of R & B's most iconic performers, Teddy Pendergrass passed away yesterday at the age of 59. Pendergrass began his career as a drummer but first rose to fame in the 1970s when he became lead singer of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, which had hits such as "If You Don't Know Me by Now" and "I Miss You."

After leaving the Blue Notes for a solo career, he had a string of hit love ballads that were considered musical aphrodisiacs by his fans. His solo hits, notable for his smooth baritone and sensual delivery, included "I Don't Love You Anymore," "Close the Door," "Turn off the Lights" and "Love TKO." Rest in Peace Teddy.

New Jersey and its Antiquated Ruling on Gay Marriage....

I'm pretty ashamed of my home state of New Jersey right now. The State Senate on Thursday rejected a proposal that would have made New Jersey the sixth state in the nation to allow marriages involving same-sex couples. What are your thoughts on this topic?
