"MAD MEN" IS BACK ON AMC!
Come and jump on the band wagon! One of our favorite shows "Mad Men" is loved not only for its great story lines, but its FABULOUS 60's fashions. Betty Draper is the ultimate "Lipstick". :-) We love the neckties, skinny suits, beautiful print dresses, pill box hats and fedoras! We love the advertising talk and spotting our favorite products that were around back in the day. Who knew Utz potato chips have been around since forever. :-)
"Mad Men" Season Three Premiere on August 16 AMC,

ONE IN 8 MILLION
We came across this really cool slideshow on the New York Times website. The New York Times describes the slideshow as follows:
"New York is a city of characters. On the subway and in it's streets, from the intensit of Midtown to the intimacy of neighborhood blocks, is a 305-square-mile parade of people with something to say. This is a collection of a few of their passions and problems, relationships and routines, vocations and obsessions. A new story will be added weekly."
We were particularly drawn to Ra Ruiz's story titled "The Pier Kid". Harassed by schoolmates, Ms. Ruiz, now 22, took refuge among the gay youth hanging out at the Christopher Street pier. You will enjoy all these thought provoking stories about New Yorkers.
